Please note: This session is 1hr 30mins and the evening session starts at 6.30pm! Overview: This session, Inquiry Project Design: Collaboration and Support, equips school librarians with the knowledge and tools to create and implement their own inquiry projects. By focusing on project design, collaboration, resource curation, and troubleshooting, librarians will be empowered to embed inquiry-based learning into their schools. The session emphasises sustainable change and the role of librarians as key facilitators in fostering a culture of inquiry. Learning Objectives: By the end of this session, participants will be able to: Design an Inquiry Project – Develop a structured inquiry project aligned with school curriculum goals and personal interests, using a recognised inquiry framework. Utilise Strategies for Project Completion – Create a clear plan, set milestones, and identify effective assessment methods to ensure project success. Build a Strong Support Network – Identify and engage collaborators within and beyond the school community to strengthen inquiry-based learning initiatives. Three Key Takeaways Librarians as Inquiry Leaders – School librarians play a vital role in shaping inquiry-based learning by modelling best practices, collaborating with teachers, and supporting students.
