I thought I would start with an easy discussion on this forum. Many of us put our work reading away over the holidays and read whatever we want. I have joined a new book club in York where we are currently reading Garden of Evening Mist by Tan Wang Eng. It has started well, although it is about dementia and maybe a little too close to home for me to read to the end. Only time will tell.
I would love to hear what you are reading now...
I've had a lot of fun and am enjoying something completely new to me because of a competition that our English department run. 'i know what you read last summer' is a photo competition looking for us reading on holiday with various categories; best local (to school), best background, most unusual place etc. one of our teachers always tries to match his reading to his destination and that got me thinking. I came across this website https://www.tripfiction.com and have been investigating books I want to read set in Asia, which is where we are going.
So...the short answer is I'm reading Aunty Lee's Delights by Ovidia Yu and loving it.
