@Penny Waring I agree Penny! School librarians can't be in every class where inquiry is being used. We do rely heavily on teachers themselves re-enforcing these skills. This is where the relationship between the teacher and the school librarian is important. If we are seen as a fill in lesson then what we teach is going to have very little impact. If however the teacher follows through and uses the skills beyond our lessons our students will have a chance of becoming independent learners. It also means that we can build on skills rather than repeating them.
